The 2022 Asia Cup schedule has been revealed, with Sri Lanka facing on Afghanistan in the tournament opener on Saturday, August 27 in Dubai. The next day, India will play against Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium.Following the instability in Sri Lanka, the competition was relocated to the United Arab Emirates a few days ago. Ten of the thirteen games, including the final, are scheduled to take place in Dubai, with the remainder in Sharjah.

The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Singapore, and Hong Kong will compete in a qualifying round, with the winner joining India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh in the main competition.
Group A will feature India, Pakistan, and a Qualifier, while Group B will include of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. The top two teams from each group will advance to a 'Super 4' stage, hinting that at least another India-Pakistan encounter would take place in the second round. The final is set on September 11th.
