Test Players Absent to Prepare for Border Gavaskar Trophy

Several players from Australia’s Test squad will sit out this T20 series, as they focus on preparations for the Border Gavaskar Trophy series against India in Perth. However, any player chosen for both the T20 series and the Test squad will join the Test camp immediately following the final T20 match on November 18 in Hobart.

Selectors Excited by the Squad’s Depth and Balance

Chair of Selectors George Bailey expressed optimism for the squad’s dynamic, which combines established players with those earlier in their international careers. "This group of players have all represented Australia in T20 cricket, so we look forward to them continuing to enhance their international experience throughout this series,” said Bailey. "We are excited by the mix of experience combined with those closer to the start of their international journeys.”

Bailey also emphasized the excitement around having Bartlett, Johnson, and Ellis back, highlighting this series as a chance for them to re-establish their roles in the national lineup: "It’s another opportunity for them to continue to show their ability on the international stage, as they have done in the past."

Australia vs Pakistan T20 Schedule:
