Bengal T20 League 2026 Smashers Malda and Howrah Win Big
The Bengal T20 League 2026 continued to deliver exciting cricketing action as Sobisco Smashers Malda and Adamas Howrah Warriors registered comfortable victories in their respective matches at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. With standout performances from both batters and bowlers, the two teams strengthened their positions in Season 3 of the highly competitive domestic tournament.
The league, organized by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), has once again brought together some of the finest talents from across West Bengal, and Tuesday's fixtures showcased the depth of quality on display.
Smashers Malda Cruise Past Siliguri Strikers
In the second match of the day, Sobisco Smashers Malda produced a disciplined all-round performance to defeat Servotech Siliguri Strikers by six wickets.
After being asked to bowl, Malda restricted the Strikers to 128/7 in their allotted 20 overs. The bowling unit maintained pressure throughout the innings despite a fighting unbeaten half-century from Pramod Chandila, who scored 52 runs off 35 deliveries.
Mukesh Kumar and Prayas Ray Barman were the chief architects of Malda's bowling success, picking up two wickets each and preventing the Strikers from building meaningful partnerships during the middle overs.
Chasing a modest target of 129, Malda approached the task with confidence and composure. Opener Akhil played a crucial anchoring role with a well-crafted 50 off 44 balls, while Prayas Ray Barman completed a memorable all-round display by scoring 39 runs from just 29 deliveries.
Their partnership ensured that Malda remained firmly in control throughout the chase, eventually reaching 129/4 in 17.3 overs to secure a comfortable six-wicket victory.
Howrah Warriors Dominate via DLS Method
Earlier in the day, Adamas Howrah Warriors delivered another impressive performance, defeating Kolkata Royal Tigers by seven wickets through the DLS Method.
Batting first, Kolkata Royal Tigers found themselves under pressure at 75/7 before Ronit Ghosh staged a remarkable recovery. The right-hander played one of the best innings of the tournament so far, remaining unbeaten on 71 off only 37 balls and guiding his side to a competitive total of 149/8.
Despite the late resistance, Howrah Warriors entered the chase with confidence after an excellent bowling effort led by Sujit Kumar Yadav. The pacer claimed three wickets for just 20 runs and played a key role in restricting the opposition.
A revised target of 122 runs in 15 overs was set following weather interruptions, but Howrah Warriors made light work of the challenge.
Shakir Habib Gandhi led the charge with an unbeaten 52 off 32 deliveries, displaying maturity and aggressive intent. He received strong support from Kazi Junaid Saifi, who scored 34 from 23 balls, while Shashank Singh finished unbeaten on 32 from only 18 deliveries.
The trio guided Howrah Warriors to 124/3 in just 13.2 overs, sealing a dominant seven-wicket win.
