Dolphins vs. Panthers in the opening game of the Champions One-Day Cup, which takes place in Faisalabad from September 12 to 29, at the Iqbal Stadium.
The Pakistan Cricket Board said today that Sarfaraz Ahmed, a two-time winner of ICC Events, has been confirmed as the team's mentor. The Dolphins will be based at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi. Dolphins is one of the five teams that will take part in the Champions One-Day Cup, which takes place in Faisalabad from September 12 to 29.
The Dolphins' season will begin on September 14 against Saqlain Mushtaq's Panthers. On September 17, Misbah-ul-Haq's Wolves, on September 19, Shoaib Malik's Stallions, and on September 22, Waqar Younis' Lions will play.
One-day cricketers from 150 different countries will compete in the Champions One-Day Cup. A single-league structure will be used for this 50-over competition. All games except the Lions vs. Panthers game on September 16, which gets underway at 9.30 a.m., start at 3 p.m. Four days of playoffs will culminate in a final on Sunday, September 29.
Sarfaraz Ahmed captained his country to victory in both the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 and the ICC U19 World Cup 2006. He was also part of the Pakistani team that won the ACC Asia Cup 2012; he led Pakistan to the top of the ICC T20I Team Rankings; in Adelaide in 2015, he became the first wicketkeeper-batter to score a century in a World Cup; he holds the record for the most dismissals in an ODI (all six catches); he is only the second wicketkeeper to have captained his team in 50 or more ODIs; he is only the second wicket-keeper to have done so; he is ranked 17th among wicket-keepers with 2,000 runs and 100 dismissals; and he participated in two 50-over and one T20 World Cups.

I will be playing in the event as well, which adds to the excitement and difficulty of this role. My job will also include helping the captain, players, and coaching staff develop their skills and become better players, all while maintaining my unwavering passion and desire to win every game.
"I am excited to contribute significantly to the Dolphins team, with whom I have played in some of the most memorable games," the player said. "I am fully committed to this role." They include the 2007–08 T20 Cup final defeat to the Stallions in the final over, the 2009–10 Pentangular One-Day Cup final win over the Bears by 78 runs, and the 2010–11 T20 Cup final loss to the Lions by 37 runs.
