England Women vs New Zealand Women 1st T20I Result: Alice Capsey Steals the Show in Derby

England Women started their T20I series against New Zealand Women with a confident seven-wicket victory at the County Ground in Derby. Chasing a target of 137, England comfortably reached 140/3 in just 17.2 overs thanks to a brilliant unbeaten innings from Alice Capsey, who completely controlled the chase with aggressive yet mature batting.

The young England star played one of the finest knocks of the match, smashing 74 runs from just 51 deliveries with seven boundaries and three sixes. Her fearless stroke play kept the scoreboard moving throughout the innings and ensured New Zealand never regained momentum after the powerplay.

England’s chase did not begin perfectly as Sophia Dunkley departed early after scoring 8 runs. Maia Bouchier also failed to convert her start, leaving England at 33/2.
