Hardik Pandya reclaims No.1 spot in ICC Men’s T20I All-rounders Rankings

Hardik Pandya of India has regained his position as the top player in the ICC Men's T20I All-rounders Rankings following his important role in his team's 3-1 series victory against South Africa. He has topped this list twice this year, the first time after India won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies.

With 244 rating points, Pandya jumped two spots to the top, moving up to replace England's Liam Livingstone, who dropped to third position with 230 points, one point behind Nepal's Dipendra Airee, who is in second place with 231 points.

With 806 points, Tilak Varma's incredible batting feats for India propelled him 69 spots into the top 10 of the batters' list for the first time, surpassing his captain Suryakumar Yadav, who dropped one spot to fourth place.

Following his incredible back-to-back hundreds, Sanju Samson also made big strides, moving up 17 spots to 22nd among the batters.

Among the all-rounders, South Africa's Marco Jansen jumped 65 ranks to a career-high 14th place, while his captain, Aiden Markram, moved up one spot to number nine. Tristan Stubbs, their teammate, moved up three spots to 23rd in the batting order, continuing his ascent.

In other changes to the batters list, Shai Hope advanced 16 spots to 21st after his half-century in their most recent Twenty20 International against England, while Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis rose three spots to share 12th place with Nicholas Pooran of the West Indies and Josh Inglis of Australia (624 rating points).

With Australia's Adam Zampa and Nathan Ellis making notable progress after their three-match series whitewash against Pakistan, there was also a lot of movement on the bowlers list. Ellis climbed 15 spots to 11th place on 628 points, while Zampa moved up five spots to third place with 693 points. Haris Rauf of Pakistan moved from 24th to 20th place with 601 points, while Arshdeep Singh of India moved up three positions to ninth place (656 points), while colleague Axar Patel sailed 10 ranks to 13th place (632 points). With 576 points, Marco Jansen also made an appearance, jumping 20 spots to 25th position among the bowlers.

The increasing trends of Sri Lanka's players following their 2-0 series victory over New Zealand are driving this week's changes in the Men's ODI Player Rankings. With five wickets in the two games, Maheesh Theekshana moved up six ranks to sixth place on the bowlers list with 650 rating points. He also moved up 11 spots to share 25th place with Aiden Markram on the all-rounders list. In addition, his teammate Charith Asalanka moved up 11 spots to tie for 27th position with Charsh Thaker of Canada. Their fellow countryman Jeffrey Vandersay also moved up 27 spots to 72nd place with 430 points.

Teammate Avishka Fernando moved up five spots to 62nd and 500 points, while Kusal Mendis advanced nine spots to 26th on the batters list (603 points) with a career-best 143 in the opening game.

Mitchell Santner, a bowler from New Zealand, climbed two spots to 17th place with 579 points, while Will Young, a batter, moved up 12 spots to 22nd place. To wrap up this week's rankings news, Glenn Phillips moved up 13 spots to 63rd place in the all-rounders list.
