Asked to bat first after Afghanistan A won the toss, India A got off to a flying start thanks to the aggressive opening pair of Priyansh Arya and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

The duo added 75 runs in just eight overs, immediately putting the Afghan bowlers under pressure. Arya looked in sublime touch, smashing 58 runs off just 42 deliveries with nine boundaries and one six. His fearless approach ensured India A dominated the powerplay.
