PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Sooryavanshi Sets the Final on Fire
Opening alongside Priyansh Arya, Sooryavanshi launched an extraordinary assault on the Sri Lankan bowling attack from the very first over.
The left-hander smashed 10 boundaries and eight sixes, racing to a record-breaking fifty in just 11 balls before continuing his fearless approach. Every bowler was taken apart as India A piled up 140 runs in the first 10 overs, completely taking control of the final.
His innings finally ended on 94 when captain Sahan Arachchige induced a miscued shot, denying the teenager another historic century. Nevertheless, his explosive knock earned him the Player of the Match award and laid the perfect foundation for India's massive total.
Middle Order Builds on the Flying Start
After Sooryavanshi's departure, Ruturaj Gaikwad ensured the momentum never slowed with a composed 40, while captain Tilak Varma anchored the innings brilliantly.
Tilak mixed patience with timely aggression to score 67 from 90 deliveries, guiding the middle overs before Kumar Kushagra contributed a valuable 36.
The finishing touches came from Vipraj Nigam and Anukul Roy, who unleashed a late assault. Anukul's unbeaten 39 off just 15 balls, featuring four towering sixes, powered India A to a commanding 377 for 9 in 50 overs.
Sri Lanka A Fight but Fall Short
Chasing a daunting target, Sri Lanka A attempted to stay in the contest but struggled to keep pace with the required run rate.
Despite several useful partnerships and positive intent from the middle order, the hosts failed to build the one dominant stand needed for such a massive chase.
India A's bowling attack maintained pressure throughout the innings, picking up wickets at regular intervals while restricting the scoring opportunities.
The disciplined effort eventually bowled Sri Lanka A out for 311 in 47.1 overs, handing India A a comfortable 66-run victory.
A Star Continues to Rise
For Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the final added another remarkable chapter to an already sensational season.
Only days after breaking the List A record for the fastest fifty and earning a maiden India T20I call-up, the teenager produced another fearless innings on the biggest stage of the tournament.
Although he narrowly missed a century once again, his 94-run blitz completely changed the complexion of the final and showcased a rare combination of power, confidence and maturity.
Perfect Finish for India A
India A displayed complete dominance throughout the final, combining explosive batting with disciplined bowling to lift the Tri Nation A Series trophy.
The tournament provided several standout performers, but Sooryavanshi emerged as the biggest talking point. His fearless approach, clean hitting and ability to dictate games at just 15 years of age have made him one of the most exciting prospects in Indian cricket.
With another match-winning performance and a Player of the Match award in the final, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has once again proved that he is not just a rising star but a genuine game-changer capable of dominating quality attacks on the biggest stages.
