The much-awaited RCB vs GT Qualifier 1 IPL 2026 clash turned into a complete domination show from Royal Challengers Bengaluru, as they crushed Gujarat Titans by a massive 92-run margin and officially secured their place in the IPL 2026 Final. In front of a packed Dharamsala crowd, RCB delivered one of the most destructive playoff performances in recent IPL history.
After Gujarat Titans won the toss and decided to bowl first, many expected early movement for the pacers. But RCB batters came with an ultra-aggressive mindset and immediately placed GT bowlers under pressure. From the powerplay itself, Bengaluru’s batting looked unstoppable.
Rajat Patidar Played One of the Greatest IPL Playoff Knocks
The biggest hero of the night was undoubtedly Rajat Patidar, whose unbelievable unbeaten 93 runs off just 33 balls completely changed the game. The RCB captain played fearless cricket from the moment he arrived at the crease and attacked every Gujarat bowler aggressively.
Patidar smashed 5 fours and 9 massive sixes, maintaining an unbelievable strike rate of 281.82. His innings completely broke Gujarat Titans’ bowling plans and shifted the momentum entirely toward Bengaluru.

Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya Built the Perfect Platform
Before Patidar’s late assault, Virat Kohli once again delivered an important innings for RCB. Kohli scored a quick 43 runs off 25 balls, hitting elegant boundaries and controlling the innings beautifully during the middle overs.
Devdutt Padikkal also contributed with an attacking 30, while Krunal Pandya’s 43 off 28 balls added huge pressure on Gujarat Titans during the death overs. Krunal supported Patidar brilliantly during their massive partnership, which completely changed the direction of the match.
Late finishing from Jitesh Sharma, who smashed 15 runs off just 5 balls, helped RCB finish at a gigantic 254/5 in 20 overs.
Gujarat Titans Bowlers Had No Answers
The Gujarat Titans bowling attack, which dominated several matches this season, looked completely helpless against RCB’s batting storm. Even experienced bowlers like Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna leaked runs heavily under pressure.
Rabada picked up two wickets, but conceded 54 runs, while Siraj gave away 46 runs in just 3 overs against his former franchise. GT bowlers struggled badly to control boundaries, especially during the final six overs where RCB completely exploded.
RCB Bowlers Destroyed Gujarat Titans Top Order
Chasing a massive 255-run target, Gujarat Titans needed a strong powerplay start from stars like Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler. However, RCB bowlers completely shattered GT’s top order within the first few overs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Shubman Gill early, while Jacob Duffy removed Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar with clever variations. The dangerous Jos Buttler looked aggressive briefly, but Josh Hazlewood quickly ended his innings.
At one stage, Gujarat Titans collapsed to 51/5, and the match was almost over within the powerplay phase itself.
Rahul Tewatia Fought Alone for Gujarat Titans
While wickets kept falling around him, Rahul Tewatia produced a fighting innings for Gujarat Titans. He smashed 68 runs off 43 balls, including 8 fours and 4 sixes, and tried to keep GT alive in the chase.
Tewatia attacked RCB bowlers fearlessly and briefly gave Gujarat fans hope of a miraculous comeback. However, the required run rate continued increasing rapidly, and lack of support from the other batters eventually ended GT’s chances.
Gujarat Titans were finally bowled out for 162 runs in 19.3 overs.
RCB Bowling Unit Looks Dangerous Before Final
One of the biggest positives for Bengaluru was the collective bowling performance. Every bowler contributed under pressure.
RCB bowlers attacked aggressively, maintained disciplined line and length, and never allowed Gujarat batters to settle. Their execution during middle overs completely killed the chase.
RCB Fans Start Dreaming About IPL Trophy
This victory has now massively increased excitement among RCB supporters worldwide. Social media platforms exploded immediately after the win, with hashtags like #RCBvsGT, #RajatPatidar, #IPL2026, and #PlayBold trending heavily.
For years, Bengaluru fans have waited emotionally to see their team finally lift the IPL trophy. After this dominant Qualifier 1 victory, many fans now believe IPL 2026 could finally become RCB’s year.
