In the Champions One-Day Cup, Pakistan Shaheens captain Muhammad Haris will replace former Pakistan star and mentor Shoaib Malik as captain of the Stallions. On September 13, the Stallions will play their first tournament match against Shaheen Shah Afridi's Lions. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. (local time) on Friday.
Haris believes his team is especially strong, and he is well aware of the high standards as the competition gets begin.
"Leading the illustrious Stallions in the Champions One-Day Cup is an honor." The fans' expectations are naturally raised by our strong squad, which includes some of the biggest stars in Pakistani cricket," he stated.
Former Pakistan and Stallions captain Shoaib Malik served as the team's mentor. Haris recognized the legacy that Malik and the group had established over the years in a number of domestic seasons. Setting high expectations as they got ready for their first of four league games on September 13 was his way of honoring that tradition.

The Lions will be led by two-time HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) champion Shaheen Shah Afridi at the Champions One-Day Cup in the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. The tall left-arm pacer, who is being coached by former Pakistan captain Waqar Younis, thought about what was ahead for him and his team as they were ready for this new assignment.
"Being in charge of the Lions will be an incredible experience for me, especially with the Champions One-Day Cup's high stakes and our roster's abundance of talented young players." Shaheen expressed his excitement about giving the team his all throughout the competition, both at bat and with the ball.
Shaheen reminisced with nostalgia about his 2018 domestic One-Day Cup debut, during which he made his breakthrough as a teenage sensation.
"Playing in the One-Day Cup in Faisalabad in 2018 as an 18-year-old brings back wonderful memories for me. It seems strange to be coming back here as captain and having so much foreign experience. I'm determined to contribute to making every young player on our club have an unforgettable experience.
In her remarks regarding the competitive nature of the Champions One-Day Cup, Shaheen emphasized the significance of readiness.
"We play a formidable Stallions team in our first game, demonstrating the caliber of opposition we will encounter each and every time out. That's why I'm convinced that in order for us to get started right away, our preparations need to be impeccable.
