The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 in Sharjah will begin with a match between Bangladesh and Scotland. Claire Polosak and Lauren Agenbag will officiate the match.
The tournament's ninth edition, which kicks off on October 3, has announced the match referee and umpires for every group stage match.
When the event kicks off in the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will also be playing as part of a doubleheader.
For the first match, GS Lakshmi will serve as match referee and Sue Redfern as TV umpire.
Later in the day, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will meet, which will be facilitated by Kim Cotton and Eloise Sheridan.
After Australia starts their title defense against Sri Lanka on October 5 with Redfern and Anna Harris officiating, Sheridan and Agenbag will team up to officiate the eagerly awaited match between India and Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium on October 6.
Since the competition began in 2009, Australia has won six titles from eight tournaments, making them the most successful team in the league.
On October 9, New Zealand will play Australia, a rivalry that Vrinda Rathi and Redfern will manage.
Agenbag and Polosak will oversee Scotland's encounter versus England on October 13, which is expected to be one of the tournament's main events. Later that day, India and Australia will play a match. At the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, they will be supervised by Cotton and Redfern, with TV umpire Jacqueline Williams.
Sheridan and Sarah Dambanevana will officiate the potentially crucial match between England and the West Indies to round out the group stage.
The two semifinals and the championship game have not yet had their match official appointments announced.
