The driving force behind this initiative is Praveen Balusu, founder of Telugu MSDians. Inspired by the humanitarian work carried out by actor Chiranjeevi and his family, the fan club partnered with the Chiranjeevi Eye and Blood Bank to host the donation camp. According to the organisers, all arrangements have been made to comfortably accommodate around 500 donors throughout the day.

Medical officials have confirmed that every donor will undergo a complete health screening before donating blood. Eligibility criteria include being between 18 and 60 years of age, weighing more than 50 kilograms and clearing mandatory medical checks, including haemoglobin tests. The blood bank will strictly follow government regulations to ensure both donor safety and blood quality.

Beyond celebrating MS Dhoni Birthday, the campaign carries a larger purpose. Blood banks often face shortages during emergencies, road accidents and critical surgeries. The Telugu MSDians fan club, officially registered in 2025, continues to expand its social initiatives beyond MS Dhoni Birthday. Along with the blood donation camp, members also plan to distribute food to municipal sanitation workers and participate in tree plantation activities in collaboration with local cricket authorities.
