Shivamogga Yodhas Reach Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 Final

Shivamogga Yodhas Storm Into Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 Final With Dominant Win

Shivamogga Yodhas produced another clinical all-round performance to seal their place in the final of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 after defeating Coastal Kings Mangaluru by four wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The victory sets up an exciting championship clash between Shivamogga Yodhas and Bengaluru Blasters as both teams prepare to battle for the prestigious title.

The win was built on disciplined bowling led by Dhanush Gowda and a composed unbeaten half-century from Aneesh KV, who anchored the chase with maturity under pressure. After restricting Coastal Kings Mangaluru to a manageable total of 143 for 8, Shivamogga Yodhas comfortably chased down the target in 18.4 overs to book their place in the summit clash.

The chase did not begin according to plan for Shivamogga Yodhas. Coastal Kings struck early through Santokh Singh, who dismissed both openers Luvnith Sisodia and Tushar Singh inside the powerplay. When Naveen MG also departed cheaply, the Yodhas found themselves struggling at 41 for 3, giving Coastal Kings early control of the contest.

However, Shivamogga Yodhas responded with remarkable composure. Aneesh KV stepped up when his team needed stability the most. Initially cautious, he carefully rebuilt the innings before accelerating at the right moment. His unbeaten 55 from 39 deliveries featured timely boundaries and intelligent strike rotation that kept the required run rate under control throughout the chase.

A crucial partnership between Aneesh KV and Sujay Sateri completely shifted the momentum in favour of Shivamogga Yodhas. The pair added an invaluable 70 runs in just 47 balls, frustrating the Coastal Kings bowlers and taking the match away from their opponents. Sujay contributed an important 31 from 25 deliveries, providing excellent support while Aneesh continued to guide the innings with confidence.

Earlier in the match, Shivamogga Yodhas laid the perfect platform with an outstanding bowling display. Dhanush Gowda emerged as the standout performer, finishing with exceptional figures of 4 for 21. Every time Coastal Kings appeared to be building momentum, Gowda returned to break another crucial partnership.

The Coastal Kings innings started steadily with Nikin Jose and Pavan Prajwal putting together a useful opening stand. However, Shivamogga Yodhas struck regularly to prevent any sustained acceleration. Shreesha Achar dismissed the dangerous Nikin Jose for 34 before later removing Shreyas Gopal, while Naveen MG also chipped in with two valuable wickets.

Karun Nair fought hard for Coastal Kings with a well-compiled 41 from 31 balls, keeping his side competitive through the middle overs. At 109 for 4 after 15 overs, Coastal Kings looked capable of posting a total beyond 160. But Shivamogga Yodhas produced a sensational finish with the ball.

Dhanush Gowda returned during the death overs to dismantle the lower middle order, removing Karun Nair, Suraj Ahuja and Rajvir Wadhwa in quick succession. That dramatic collapse saw Coastal Kings lose four wickets while adding only 14 runs, restricting them to 143 for 8.

The comprehensive victory once again highlighted the balance within the Shivamogga Yodhas squad. Their disciplined bowling attack, dependable middle order and ability to handle pressure have made them one of the strongest teams in this season's Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20.

With confidence growing after successive knockout victories, Shivamogga Yodhas now turn their attention to the grand final against Bengaluru Blasters. Both teams have displayed exceptional consistency throughout the tournament, promising fans a thrilling title showdown. If the Yodhas maintain the same all-round intensity they displayed in the semifinal, they will enter the final with genuine belief of lifting the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 crown.
