Harare: Gill maiden ODI century crushed Zimbabwe in final dead rubber despite Raza's Century in vain. After winning the toss Rahul's men decided to bat first with both teams making two changes Avesh, Chahar replacing Siraj and Prasidh. For home team Ngarava, Munyonga in for Chivanga, Madhavere .
Indian openers gave a good start after opting to bat. First wicket falling for 63 runs in 15 overs as both batsmen playing slow innings.Then Gill along with Kishan put on 100 run partnership for 3rd wicket with the host having no clue to dismiss both batters and eventually Kishan(50) sacrificed his wicket in an unfortunate way for Gill to bring up his Maiden International ton and the centurion then departed for well deserved 130 from just 97 deliveries with 15 boundary and one maximum. After the wicket of Kishan men in blue started to collapse and failed to utilise the end overs finishing with a score of 289-8. Zimbabwe's Evans picked 5 wicket-haul was the only consolation.
In chase Zimbabwe openers failed once again with scores of 13,6. But the experienced all round duo of Sean Williams and Raza played a response knock to take the team home. The veteran Williams returned to pavilion for (43) but the inform batter looked threatening for visitors taking the chase closely with his 3rd century in the last 5 One dayers and lost his wicket at wrong time as Gill taking an match winning catch with 15 needed from 9. On the other end Evans (28) was not enough as the visitors won by 13 runs. In bowling Avesh was expensive with 3 wickets, Chahar, Axar patel, Kuldeep took 2 wickets and Thakur 1 wicket.
