India A secured a comfortable victory against Oman by six wickets in the 12th match of Group B at the ACC Men's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, held at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground. With this win, India A advanced to the semi-finals, where they will face Afghanistan A.

Oman, after opting to bat first, posted a total of 140/5 in their 20 overs. Despite some early setbacks, their captain Jatinder Singh provided a solid foundation with a quickfire 17 off 13 balls. Aamir Kaleem (13) and Karan Sonavale (1) fell cheaply, but Mohammad Nadeem's 41 (49 balls) and wicketkeeper Hammad Mirza's unbeaten 28 helped Oman reach a competitive score. Sandeep Goud also added a handy 10*, ensuring they set a target of 141 for India A.

India A's bowlers were sharp and disciplined. Aaqib Khan and Sai Kishore led the attack, taking crucial wickets at regular intervals. Aaqib's figures of 4-0-38-1 and Sai Kishore’s 4-0-21-1 were instrumental in restricting Oman. Nishant Sindhu and Ramandeep Singh also contributed with a wicket each.

India A’s chase began on a shaky note, losing opener Anuj Rawat for 8. However, Abhishek Sharma provided some stability with a quickfire 34 off 15 balls, hitting five boundaries and one six. Ayush Badoni played a vital role in the middle order, smashing 51 off 27 balls, including seven boundaries and two sixes, propelling India closer to the target. His aggressive innings earned him the Player of the Match award.

Captain Tilak Varma held one end with a composed 36*, and Ramandeep Singh sealed the win with a six over deep mid-wicket off Jatinder Singh in the 16th over. India A finished at 146/4 in 15.2 overs, comfortably chasing down Oman’s total.

With this emphatic win, India A continue their strong form in the tournament and will look forward to their semi-final clash with Afghanistan A.
