On the eve of the first One Day International (ODI) between India and England, Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma addressed the media, focusing on the upcoming series and the imminent Champions Trophy. When questioned about his future in international cricket, Rohit emphasized his current priorities, stating, "For me, right now, these three games and the Champions Trophy are very important. My focus is on these games; we will see what happens afterwards."

Rohit also addressed inquiries regarding his recent form in Test cricket. When asked if returning to the ODI format, where he earned the nickname 'Hitman', would help him regain his form, he responded, "This is a different format, different time. As cricketers, we know there will be ups and downs. I have faced that a lot in my career. This is nothing new to me. We know that every day is fresh, and every series is a new one. I am looking forward to the challenge."

The three-match ODI series against England is set to commence on February 6 in Nagpur, followed by matches in Pune and Mumbai. The series serves as a crucial preparation for the Champions Trophy, scheduled to begin on February 19. India will play all their Champions Trophy matches in Dubai, following a hybrid model due to geopolitical considerations.

As the team gears up for these significant fixtures, Rohit Sharma's focus remains firmly on the immediate challenges, with broader career considerations set aside for the time being.
