Qualifiers 1: Bengaluru Blasters vs Gulbarga Mystics
Skipper Mayank Agarwal played a great knock which blew away the Gulbarga Mystics as Bengaluru Blasters won the game by 44 runs in the Qualifier 1 match. Chasing a mammoth target of 228 runs, Opener Rohan Patil was the only spark of light for the Mystics scoring 108 off 49 balls. With no other batsmen contributing significantly the Mystics fell short off the target. Ronit More was the pick of the bowlers picking 3 wickets. Jagadeesha Suchith contributed with 2 wickets.
Earlier, Blasters batted first Mayank Agarwal scored a blistering century that set the game up. He had an aggressive approach and the Mystics bowlers had no answers. LR Chetan also supported his skipper with a solid knock of 80 runs. A huge opening partnership of 162 runs helped Blasters get to a total of 227/3. Vidwath Kaverappa picked up 2 wickets for the Mystics. A dominating performance with both bat and ball helped Bengaluru Blasters win by 44 runs and book a spot in the final
Mysore Warriors vs Gulbarga Mystics
Skipper Manish Pandey played an unbeaten knock of 57* helped Gulbarga Mystics to win by 7 runs against the Mysuru Warriors in a rain interrupted game. Chasing a revised target of 110 in 11 overs, Warriors got off to a poor start losing Karun Nair in the first over. They kept losing wickets regularly and were never in the chase. A late cameo of 32 from 16 balls from Shreyas Gopal took them closer to the target but in the end fell 7 runs short. Rithesh Bhatkal and CA Karthik bowled economically and picked up 2 wickets each.
Earlier, Mystics batted first. Skipper Manish Pandey lead his troops with an aggressive 57* consisting 3 boundaries and 2 sixes. He came out with all guns blazing and showed great intent. This took Gulbarga to a total of 148/4 in 17.3 overs. Shreyas Gopal picked 2 wickets. Pandey’s match winning knock helped Mystics to secure top spot of the table and he was also adjudged the man of the match.
Bengaluru Blasters vs Shivamogga Strikers
Captain Mayank Agarwal’s blistering century guides Bengaluru Blasters to a victory by 9 wickets against the Shivamogga Strikers. Chasing a total of 176, the openers got to an aggressive start from the very first over, showing great intent scoring boundaries at regular intervals. The Blasters looked in control throughout the chase. Mayank Agarwal’s innings of 102* from 49 balls consisted of 10 boundaries and 6 maximums. LR Chetan and KV Aneesh played supportive knocks to their skipper which stunned the Strikers. Earlier in the innings, fifties from Rohan Kadam and BR Sharath and a cameo from D Avinash took the Strikers to a competitive total of 173. Mayank Agarwal was the lead run scorer of this tournament after a memorable hundred.
Gulbarga Mystics vs Shivamogga Strikers
Manish Pandey’s captain knock took Gulbarga Mystics over the line in the 5th match of the Maharaja T20 league. Chasing a total of 176, the Mystics got off to a decent start but lost 2 wickets within the 7th over. With wickets falling at one end, Skipper Manish Pandey after a slow start, shifted gears to give his team a chance. With supportive cameos from CA Karthik and Rithesh Bhakthal the skipper saw his team home. D Avinash of the Shivamogga Strikers picked up 5 wickets which went in vain. Earlier in the innings, Fifties from Rohan Kadam - Krishnamurthy Siddharth and cameos from skipper K Gowtham and D Avinash took the strikers to a competitive total of 177. But Gulbarga Mystics chases the total and register their first win by defeating Shivamogga Strikers by 3 wkts.
Mysore Warriors vs Hubli Tigers
Karun Nair flourished with the bat helping Mysuru Warriors fetch 2 points against the Hubli Tigers in the 7th match of the Maharaja T20 Trophy 2022. Chasing a score of 141, the Warriors were very comfortable at the crease as the Hubli Tigers never really looked threatening with the ball. Karun Nair, the skipper of the side played the role of the aggressor and on the other end Nihal Ullal played the anchor role helping their side chase the target in the 16th over. Karun Nair looked in perfect rhythm as his innings consisted of 11 boundaries and 3 maximums. Earlier in the innings, Luvnith Sisodia’s aggressive 38 at the top and Tushar Singh’s cameo of an 18 ball- 36 took Hubli to a fighting total of 140. Shreyas Gopal chipped in with 2 wickets for the Mysuru Warriors. Mysuru warriors chased down the target with 10 wickets and 25 balls to spare as Hubli’s bowling never really looked promising.
Hubli Tigers vs Gulbarga Mystics
A dominant knock of Rohan Patil and Devdutt Padikkal helped Mystics to win the game by 9 wickets against the Hubli Tigers. Chasing a target of 146, Devdutt Padikkal anchored the innings and got his first Fifty of this season scoring 62 off 47 deliveries. On the other end Rohan Patil played an aggressive knock which helped them to chase the target comfortably in just 16.4 overs.Padikkal smashed 8 boundaries and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 131.91. Earlier in the innings, Luvnith Sisodia, Tushar Singh and a cameo from Gneshwar Naveen took the Tigers to a decent total of 145. Abhimanyu Mithun took the solitary wicket for the Hubli Tigers. A massive opening partnership helped Gulbarga Mystics seal a 9- wicket victory against the Hubli Tigers.
